TALK: Bridging the gap with eye tracking

Traditional testing tools and performance metrics fail to reveal the full picture. This is mainly because users don’t remember their visual behaviour and clicks only show the result of search and decision processes. Eye tracking, however, allows you to see which behaviors lead to which actions. You can record and analyze this information to get objective data on the user’s experience. By harnessing this information, you can uncover usability issues, pinpoint elements that cause confusion, confirm functionality, and even discover new use cases or opportunities with your design.

Workshop: Mobile device usability testing: How eye tracking can help with your mobile device research (1,75 h)

  • November 24, 2022 at 08:00, 13:00
  • Tallinn University, Narva mnt 25, Tallinn, Estonia

Eye tracking is an accurate and unbiased way to capture how users visually interact with your product, whether in the real world or the digital world. We will show you how you can literally see through your users’ eyes to measure their attention with eye tracking.

Curious about how the latest eye tracking technology can help with your mobile device research? Using practical examples for eye tracking the user experience, this hands-on workshop presents a new and improved way of studying the usability of mobile applications. We show how to use eye tracking to make research on mobile devices easier than ever before.

Workshop: Using wearable eye tracking for research: Eye tracking the user experience in and outside the lab (1,75 h)

  • November 24, 2022 at 10:00, 15:00
  • Tallinn University, Narva mnt 25, Tallinn, Estonia

Eye tracking is an accurate and unbiased way to capture how users visually interact with your product, whether in the real world or the digital world. We will show you how you can literally see through your users’ eyes to measure their attention with eye tracking.

With wearable eye tracking, research can be taken out into the real world. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to successfully conduct usability studies in an authentic real-world setting, how eye tracking can be used as a tool to better understand and improve user experiences, which insights to expect and how these insights can influence design decisions.
