Junior Researcher at HCI lab, Tallinn UniversityYulia is a researcher specializing in mediated touch and haptic displays. With a strong focus on participatory design, she enjoys engaging in generative workshops and co-designing techniques to create innovative solutions. As a hands-on technologist, she designs prototypes centred around wearables and haptic feedback, driven by her fascination with touch and immersive multi-sensorial experiences for both research and artistic endeavours.
Yulia actively participates in Arts and science Residencies, such as Starts.ee, and has received numerous research grants and awards, including the prestigious ACM-W scholarship. Her research is showcased at well-known academic conferences like TEI, INTERACT, and HCI International.
Passionate about knowledge dissemination, Yulia hosts a podcast with the Internet of Senses Institute. In it, she interviews leading researchers and industry experts on haptic technology and the sense of touch, bridging the gap between science and technology.
